Mine was the Monster Block by Hayes and resulting pass to streaking for the rim AR who then turned our bench inside out with thrilled amazement by throwing down a one handed dunk. Just awesome!! Everybody loves AR. He sits down next to Bronny at the time out grinning and says something about the play I’m guessing, who starts laughing with him.

Then being interviewed after the game says Luke hitting that game winner made him “the happiest he’s been in a long time.”

Been thinking about this. It would appear that Goga threatened his family back in Slovenia. I don't think he threatened to have sex with them, I think he threatened to F them. As in F them up. Goga is from Georgia and Slovenia and Georgia have traditionally played pretty well together but considering a lot of problems back there, I wonder if there may be additional pressures I am unaware of. I have to say, with all these foreign players coming over here to play in the NBA, and other leagues, you have to worry that violence may be used against families in these other countries. The NBA needs to be on top of this and looking at every single case that occurs very closely.

Completely unacceptable and I wouldn’t have been mad at Luka if he punched that jerk straight in his face for this.

Good teams find a way to win which we did

Beat the Magic and the refs

Shot 25% from the 3 line

    Missed 10 FTs

And still found a way to win

    Role players

    DA 9 pts 12 reb 1 ast

6 of those were on offense which we need from him

    Hayes 8 pts 7 reb 3 blk

    LK 13 pst 3 reb

Luka had 4 steals which brings him to 9 over the last 2 games.

    Highly doubt it's that serious.

I think it's one of those cases where Luka's talent and basketball skill is so above Goga that the only way Goga can try to counter Luka's trashtalking is by getting personal.

You see it all the time with these family insults.

Smart and Rui are out tonight.

Who’s the 5th starter? Kennard or LaRavia?

    Luka / Kennard
    Reaves /Kennard
    Jake / Vando?
    Lebron / Vando?
    Ayton / Hayes

We’re going to have to give some minutes to either Vando or one of the young guys? Do we give Bronny or Bufkin a chance as a backup guard, or do we get Adou some time instead of Vando?

I'd personally like to start Vando in Smart's place and then let Kleber absorb the Rui minutes. The team is in such a good groove at the moment that I'd like to replace Smart's and Rui's spots in the rotation with similar skillsets and in a way that minimizes disruption to the rotation as a whole.

I think having Smart means we win this game. It's probably the difference between Jenkins hitting that last shot or not.

JJ has a lot of good coaching skills (very good at managing personalities, analytical, dead ball plays) but man his stubbornness is frustrating as hell at times. This is a game you try Theiro or even Bronny on that Detroit pg. Jake falling all over that dude trying to defend him sigh

I thought today’s game was encouraging. We tried to lose it 100 different ways and still almost won. We didn’t fall apart, we came back from 16 down and competed right to the end. We were one Luka jumper away from getting the W despite missing an entire season’s worth the threes and committing a season’s worth of turnovers.

Pretty fair assessment, we had multiple chances to take the lead and win. Couldn’t get it done, but that’s one of the toughest teams out east (with or without Cade)

The lack of Depth is the reason. The starters are really competing on the defensive side and you can tell the last two games their legs are heavy on their shots because of how badly they are missing.

Without Rui and Marcus we still almost beat the best team in the East. Yes, they were missing Cade, but I thought we looked pretty good, despite getting jobbed by the refs and the quasi-thuggish style of some DET players.

That was quite a run. Now we finish out the road trip in IND - who we should annihilate if we don't take them lightly - and then home for two other Should-Wins: Brooklyn and the Wiz. If we win the next 3 games against teams already out of the playoffs, it will be a 15-2 run over 17 games.

I thought AR looked good. I thought our D continued to look good. Luka 3 for 13 from long; DET did a good job contesting...but often Luke seems to shoot better when there's a guy in his jock, so who knows.

    Lebron 12/9/10: only a board away from a Jason Kidd-like triple-double.
Jaxon: 5 for 5 from the field with 4 blocks.

Man, we lost but we're suddenly a really good team and frankly, I'm thrilled.

Now let's take care of biz and get these next 3. What.A. Roadtrip!

Yeah we looked gassed. It was nice we came back and had the opportunity to win. We got lucky against Orlando so it was bound to happen. Still a lot of positives. Glad that Houston lost too.
Liked to see Thiero getting some burn in the 1st half. But JJ is not really a fan of giving minutes to young guys, it's a shame.

Team is in a good flow and players are finding ways to be effective. Bron and AR were awful in the 1st half but finished well.

Luka seemed hobbled since the Q1, hopefully we find ways to get him some rest.
We need to win these 3 games. Tanking teams never tank against us so we need to take these games seriously with strong starts, otherwise those guys get hot and it's a problem.
I still would like to see our 3 stars minutes managed and playing around 30 minutes, just take them a couple minutes earlier and bring them a couple minutes later, the rest of the team should still work it out. Looking for Kennard, Ayton and Rui, if available, to increase their role in these games. Hoping to see Thiero and Bufkin out there for 10 minutes or so.

If we win these 3 games, we are in a good position to manage the end of the season and set up well for the postseason while locking the 3rd seed
