Not to pile on but I did have this exact thought and expect it if we don’t end up making a move.

 

What if we get the trifecta:
1) the Austin line
2) can't judge this team until Thiero is back
3) can't buy a house that isn't for sale

 

i remain, as ever, waiting for the player i wanted to go for the thing we had before getting too worked up about anything.

we were clearly in on the sac/cle thing but they each had what the other wanted without us. nothing else has bothered me in any way. sometimes--many times--it's the deals you don't make.

i have full confidence we've been on the phones for months and are right now and for the next 36 hours.

Refs screwed over the Lakers but the Lakers defensive rebounding is a real problem. YOu can't play good defense and push a team to shot clock problems and then give up the offensive rebound for an easy putback or reset against an out of place D

 

i love that it's considered trash talk that the lakers are among the best 8 teams in the league. you realized utah will have tanked a full decade and top out as a likely 2nd round exit, right, guys?

 

This defensive metrics would look significantly is they just did better at defensive rebounding. I've lost count of how many times they've played good defense only for the other team to get the ball back and then score. Just backbreaking to put that effort into D and it turns into nothing.

Part of it maybe the same issue of not having a POA defender means the team constantly rotating leaves the defensive glass vulnerable. In other words if the center or down man doesn't have to help so much it they'd be able to actually box out people.

But on other hand half the time it feels like the ball just bounces out of bounds or a Laker gets a hand on it and it still goes out of bounds ro goes to an opposing player

 

when i played i knew that if i broke the defense and got a shot up in the paint, we had a great chance at at putback. the kobe assist, if you will.
