Ugh. Out 4 weeks. I’ve had a partial MCL tear (they call it a sprain). Got to be a bit cautious with recovery. Heal up Thiero!
He's now dealing with an injury to his other knee, and though surgery doesn't appear to be on the docket for Thiero, he'll likely be sidelined throughout January
previous was the left knee, i think. i think i had one a few years back--didn't bother to get mri because i'm not a pro athlete and i could just opt not to play a pickup game with a bunch of teenagers for a while (or ever again). unless you have a full tear, you don't need surgery usually (this is part of why i didn't bother getting scanned). just rest/rehab. the concern is that this is another one early on. from a practical standpoint, it doesn't matter, as jj has shown a pretty strong unwillingness to play him right now.
Even if he comes back... 10 games max and he's injured again. Call me a debbie downer but you'll see.
Is he officially dead? Shouldn't we be hearing something by now? Lakers still need a player like him lol
I forgot he was on the roster LMAO. If he gets healthy he needs to play, a lot, need to develop some youth with athleticism.
We're trying to be in the top6. 1.5 games behind 3rd seed 3 games behind #2. He's not playing nor should he
fair take, but again--denver conjured watson as an asset by letting him play through being a negative on the court. now, they had limited options, but still... he can't improve without live action against the big boys.
Usually with young guys it's mistakes not knowing plays, blowing assignments that hurt teams. Theiro (similar to Kawhii rookie year - yes I know i'ts Kawhii) is basically assigned to the a POA defender and either stand in the corner or cut for lob. Pretty straightforward and he's probably the best POA defender on this team and he can certainly jump. His role can be limited so you don't have to worry too much about the rookie stuff. I saw JJ sit him a few times for taking a dumb foul when he got to aggressive or going for a steal - so he's not limited to mistakes hurting the team because of his role but these are errros I think go away pretty quickly with reps. Compare that to the stuff Luka and Lebron have to figure out trying to attacking defenses
We aren’t playing for a title this year, developing young talent or at least giving them some minutes should be ahead of giving extra minutes to guys who won’t be here next year, or getting a 2nd round exit over a 1st.
rare accordance here—we’re heading for a play-in. I want to see Bufkin and thiero not kleber and 12 too many minutes for smart.
