    Exactly. We need someone who has contacts out there. We already have franchises like the Spurs, C's, Trailblazers and Kings who naturally hate us due to rivalries. Add in the Mavs and Hornets (Peterson is actually doing a pretty good job there IMO) and that's 6 franchises who won't even pick up the phone when we call and I know I've left off a couple.

    We need a guy who has made some friends and can help us work with the other teams in the league and make sure we do it in a way that doesn't piss folks off.

    Contacts, good relationships, charm, and soft skills should be at the top of the list for whoever we bring in to help the front office.

    Exactly. My biggest fear is he DOES try to do something that further hurts us because he is trying to save his job. There is no trade available to us that makes us a realistic contender this season barring season-ending injuries to Jokic, SGA, and Wemby. I always viewed this as a punt year. I think the quick start early on with Austin gave us hope that this team was different. But then Lebron came back, and it was clear that a team with three players of the same skillset that can't play defense is not a recipe for success. Let's get rid of Lebron's redundancy, and use that cap space while also having access to 3 first rounders (as opposed to one right now) to really rebuild this thing.
