I really don’t think we’re far away from being a contender this season. We are in desperate need of an athletic wing (that JJ trusts enough to play) and a competent guard who can knock down an open shot and defend 1’s and 2’s.

I think a Jonathan Isaac makes sense. Look the offense isn’t there. But there isn’t alot of opportunity with Banchero Wagner and Bane.

with us he can play lock down defense next to Lebron. Defend 3’s and 4’s. And is a solid perimeter defender that can knock down a 3.

He’s 6,9” 250 Herbert Jones without all the capital you have to give away. Playing for L.A. helps. Solid locker room guy.

package him and get your young P.O.A. Anthony Black or Jalen Suggs.

both solid defenders. I know Black is playing great but maybe you get him for the right package. Or it’s Suggs either is an upgrade for us. Suggs can play lock down D and hit that open 3 next to Luka. The trade is going to be that. Something that allows us to get better but gives a team like Orlando some kind of relief who doesn’t want to pay a luxury tax.

feel like you're not understanding the cap here. we DO have that much space AFTER maxing reaves because reaves's cap hold is 21 million, no matter what salary we sign him to. that's factored into the 50 million. you simply time his signing last. this happens all the time and is why lebron not getting the PO was such a HUGE deal. had that not happened, you'd be right, and we'd be at lebron's whim, trading everything that's not nailed down for demar derozan or something.

and once the season starts, we'll have plenty of tradable salary in the form of...whatever we spend the 50 million on. if we completely strike out, you sign brook lopez's corpse to a one-year 25 million dollar deal meant to be traded like gs did with kuminga last summer. easy peasy.

this labrador i found on the side of the road hasn't sniffed out a million dollars yet! it's his damn job bc i said so, and i'll keep going back to the dog shelter until one of them sniffs out a million dollars, dammit!

rob made four great mid-level moves just this summer: ayton for 7 million. smart for 5. laravia for 6. and NOT DFS for 12.

nobody saw any of that coming. i trust him more than us, tbh.

sorry, kobe, but what in the actual f*** are you talking about here?

first: isaac, in fact, cannot knock down a three. he makes vando look like ray allen. he's also not 250. he's listed at 230, and i'm dubious. isaac is basically vando with better hands, even more injury issues, and an even longer contract.

second: what do we have to offer for suggs or black? i agree that orlando will have to choose there, but unless you're moving reaves, you don't get either. and i don't move reaves for either one unless they're adding to the deal.

my guess is they'd move suggs first, but his contract means we have to lose reaves AND lose a bunch of space in the summer to fill out the roster.

I have zero respect for how Giannis is playing this. From pushing hard behind the scenes to playing dumb in exclusives and when he's asked about it.

Look, it's time to move on. That's fine. Just be a f***ing grown up about it. Saying you can't control what YOUR agents do regarding trade demands or trying to get you traded is wild. They didn't pull this out of their a** or they'd be fired on the spot.
