I don't think we have what the Nets are looking for in Claxton, given that they have little use for expiring players; their only goal is certainly to extract as many FRPs from the player as possible.

The Lakers' current situation is very complex, in my opinion.
We're in an intermediate phase before a likely LeBron departure (which leaves millions on the table) but also before a huge, inevitable extension for Reaves.

Now, what can we do to make this team decent?
We need to build something serious around our greatest talent: are we a trade deadline and a summer of free agency away from that point?

    That's the point: I don't know.
Because if I look back, I notice that few, if any, teams have turned things around in recent free agencies.
With the new CBAs, it seems to me that reaping a good return on the free agent market is practically impossible.

It’s about time. G-league stats don’t mean a ton, but we have nothing to lose by giving a guy like this a look right now. Now we just have to hope JJ will actually play him, and I’m not sure he will.

well, i don't know that we have to "turn things around". again, we're bad right now, but have been pretty good this year despite serious injury issues throughout. we're not THAT far away.

with ~48 million in spending power, some things are possible--even if they're just renting space for other assets.

i'd prefer at least one deadline trade using some of our picks to get a long-term fit, but i think retaining enough space to just outright sign a rotation quality player should be a consideration. again, i think wherever peyton watson, mathurin, grimes, or ellis lands, we have a shot at making a big enough offer to make their team balk.

but generally speaking, no, you're definitely not like, signing lebron these days. the best players never hit free agency. ever.

i think he needs timme's two-way, but this is also good.

Redick needs to give Kobe some burn. We desperately need the scoring off the bench with “decent” POA D and this/these coming 10 day contracts are clearly an audition for Drew Timme’s or Nick himself’s 2-Way contracts. (how many can you do?) (consecutively?) I would think and certainly hope the decision makers see what we see in Chris Manon. Banshee capability/“floor” potential.

I think the injury report listed LeBron and Luka as just questionable so hopefully we get a chance to see him.

Well, this is absolutely awful, but at least Bufkin can show us what he can do. I think he's a very crafty guard, can iso, can score... I think he's left-handed if that means something, but will finish with either hand. He could be good for us. But, we can't develop any real chemistry when we're constantly missing several key players.

Heck Kobe went even further one of his many hand injuries with just saying screw it to ever fixing or replacing a tendon in one of his hands so he wouldn’t miss any prolonged season play. One of a kind.
