Trae Young’s Value is at the lowest it’s going to be at. I want to keep Austin. I wanted to see if we could get him without giving up Austin. They might just want to get rid of him. I think they want him off their team and might just want depth. When you have a chance to get stars you get them.

This trade is about next season. The team wants to dump young.

Facts you need to acquire scoring so rather it be Young or Lavine you need to acquire that scoring.

I under no circumstances am trading Trae Young for Austin Reaves.

 

But I think Luka thrives better and you unlock him more when you have a shooting scoring guard next to him ball handler like Jalen Brunson or even Kyrie.

just seems like those two shooters next to each other is better for Luka.

 

This thread ending the year on a low note. A team with Luka, Young, Reaves, and Lebron might give up 160 ppg.

I’m higher on Trae than most but I feel like a lesser overall player with a skill set we need is a better use of our assets.

 

why in hell would we want Trae? that made sense maybe a few years ago when we didn't have Luka and Reaves was just a bench guy, but now? no way, they are both way better than Trae

look Trae is a wildly inefficient scorer, one of the highest usage guys in the league, and one of the worst defenders. That would be almost as bad as the Russ trade.
