He looks like he's about to cry every time he is out there... like the lights are too bright for him. He's 24... at his age, Kobe was already winning NBA titles and LeBron was carrying a garbage Cavs team to the Finals. Strap your sneakers, man up, and PLAY THE DAMN GAME... I hate when people say the Lakers killed his confidence by trying to trade him! He should be thankful a team even wants him when he is playing the way he is. This was seriously his chance to get big minutes, turn it into a solid rotational player for the Lakers, and earn himself the trust of the roster. With how he played tonight, I think the rest of the roster knows they can't count on him. Selfishly, if I were him, I would want my teammates to not be playing so I could get their minutes. He lucked into that and didn't take advantage. Fortunately for him, Lakers have no other choice but to play him with all the injuries piling up... but he's probably a goner unless he starts pumping up 15-20 PPG during this streak. The frustrating part is he's completely capable of getting hot and scoring... but then he gets out there and tears are falling down his face like he's still upset about the Charlotte trade. WTF!
finally a good game for him. hit open 3's, if you're closed out go to the mid range game. finish on the break - i.e. play like f***ing Allan Houston man
This came from JJ's good coaching. Last game he got Dalton buckets even though th game was over. Confidence for this.
Really hope he can build on this, and build up that trade value No, but seriously, we need him to step up right now to get wins down this many bodies, it was very good to see him continue from that 2nd half in Portland and look confident again.
Him upping that trade value and being traded for a two-way player would be ideal. I am very happy for him, just don't believe in him ever being a good rotation player on a championship team, sorry Dalton. Don't want to be negative after such a great win and him playing well, but it's not only his first name that reminds me of Lucky Luke's Daltons when I watch him play or listen to his interviews.
really great game from him, imo. made a few very nice plays on defense, and i didn't even notice any bad ones there. think he had one bad/lazy pass for a turnover and another one that should have been a turnover but the minny guy was asleep himself. other than that, just a really good, clean game where he made good decisions and wasn't shot hunting or pressing.
This is a great chance for all our role-players to step up and show what they can do. This is a good team.
He was still terrible from 3, going 1-5, but it's huge that he didn't let that get in his head, and he found ways to get better shots, going 6-7 from 2. Also...2 blocks! From Dalton?!
So happy to see him have a good all around game. I think the complaints of his lack of defense are finally sinking in.
he was moving with more confidence on both sides of the ball, and the results showed. He three wasn't falling, but his two was. he's not one dimensional, and his defense wasn't atrocious either. Hope he continues to trend upwards, he has a needed skill set.
