Man, I think Victor might be a top 5 player right now in the league.

    Jokic
    Giannis
    Luka
    Shai
    Victor

This dude is just unstoppable out there. If the Spurs were smart, they would start and try to compete by next year... they are missing another elite All-Star talent. If they get a guy like Giannis, it's a wrap...

i think they're already trying to compete, tbh. the kornet and olynyk signings were win-now, imo. they'll see which of vassell/castle/harper is the real keeper and move the other two for the last piece, imo. that could happen as soon as this year (do they want markkanen?).

Yeah, they started when they traded for Fox. They could have pushed it off further and tried for a different star, but Fox was available, they saw Wemby's improvement, and said Let's Go.

I don't know how anyone is gonna shoot over him. Even AD looks like a guard next to him. Bigs are gonna have to play like Shaq or their f***ed.

Gonna have to play 5 out against him and not let him into the paint. On the other end, try to make him shoot 3's at a low percentage.

Meh..Vucevic is the same age as Jimmy Butler and younger than Steph Curry. He's a stretch 5, that has avg 30+ min a game, and a double double for the last 10 seasons. He makes plenty of sense for our roster at that price, I don't know wtf you are talking about.

I always thought they would try to pry Giannis away...but feels like currently, they're going with the OKC approach with cost controlled players and some veterans.

If he's not already, he's the best player in the league by the end of the year. This is absurd.

i get why people don't think vuc solves our issues, but i also get your point. this is a big guy who uses his size well on both ends and has skills on offense that really open things up. not sure why you hated my man marc gasol so much whilst loving vuc (i know, i know...the counting stats), but i digress.

i just don't see a trade for vuc that helps both teams in the way they want to be helped.

i don't think it's too early to call it: he's the best player right now. luckily for us, we have one of the other handful of best player candidates, but man...he's got advantages that you can't scheme for on both ends. it's insane. i said to my dad today that it must have been like watching wilt in the 60s, and he was there and agreed. but we both remembered wilt didn't win until late. now, the de-facto hard cap stuff will make it hard to replicate the conditions that limited wilt in terms of team-building, but it's still a team game, and wemby still hasn't shown he can do this for 100 games. that's where you pin your hopes against such a juggernaut. f***ing SA lucking out again.

Man this blows not having your top two guys on the West is brutal. Setting up for the need for those stretch runs that the Lakers have done well but maybe set them up to wore down instead of being able to rest guys at the end of the year

A whole lot of size on the court in the Mavs/Raptors game. Good game brewing

Wemby has been the best player in basketball since the preseason. I called it then when I saw him knocking people out of the way and dunking on them.

Last year he was the best defender and a credible shooter. When his offensive floor becomes 25 points a game on relatively decent efficiency and he can score 40 points in 30 mins in a good game. I mean how do you stop that?

Offensively, the heat map on 2 point attempts at the rim is a joke when it comes to him. He pretty well forces everyone to shoot from outside.
