i think flagg can play either forward position with no problem, but i really think he's a sf. if the mavs had irving, they could run AD/washington/flagg/christie/irving, and that would be a damn good group. the irving injury killed this season, and the right course was to trade AD and klay this year. that may still happen if they can fire harrison first. they need to move AD east for young talent to re-stock around flagg. they can still play the two-timeline game with kyrie as the main guy for next year and the year after. they have their pick this year and can afford to take a gap year. any gm other than harrison would take this course, right?
Perfect doom, like using heavy whipping cream instead of half n half. Tipping my hat to you Cookie, going to be a spectacular year of feasting.
…. and @The Showtime Mamba when he steps in to cover. Our Doom is deep. Not the sky is falling type from one play or day to the next randomly.
Yes, but any GM other than Harrison wouldn't have Flagg, bc they would have been in the playoffs last season, potentially even the Finals with a shot at winning a championship.
What a game. I thought we would lose this for sure with all our injuries but Reaves lead us to victory. Lots of complaints about the FT discrepancy. A mad Russ is a bad Russ….at least he didn’t take it out on the side of the backboard. You also might have thrown up in your mouth a bit. You don’t need a microscope. You can see his flaws from outer space. You should have just left off the last word of that sentence. Because they are bright orange, come to a point and look a lot like traffic cones. When did Slick become a Kings fan? At least in 2k, you can make the team play smart basketball. Zach giveth and Zach taketh away. Very unhappy campers in Sac town with the amount of free throws that Austin got. lol….and? Role player??…..HIM ain’t no role player. Wasn’t quite that high, but it was still fun. Do you light the beam for HIM games?…you should, since you won’t have many opportunities this year to turn it on. Maybe Santa will bring you a new cowbell. He was definitely unstoppable tonight. You forgot the Luka part. A lot. Couldn’t be worse than what you have. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck……
wasn't able to see the game, but i'd have complained looking at the numbers. was reaves legitimately fouled that many times? i'd believe it, but i guess i'm just surprised derozan didn't also get 20 FTAs given that we have only one vando and that guy hates us with the fire of a thousand suns. lol. i'm actually surprised the kings fans seem to be buying the russ story. i mean, how many teams does he have to do this exact thing for before everyone just accepts who he is?
He absolutely was. For example dummies fouled him twice in a row as he was receiving the ball under OUR basket, after their score.
It doesn’t matter to the referees that the Lakers have no stars . someone to get 20 free throws always works Is it normal for a guy like Reeves to get free throws like a Jordan in prime? Lakers has 38 free throws. 38! Without LeBron and Luke. The league is doing something wrong. It's impossible to watch And finally DeRozan complained on FT difference It's crazy. 46 free throws to 18? And we had to beg for most of those," DeRozan said. "It's deflating. Especially when we're going out there trying to play hard, trying to compete. It seemed like we're getting called for fouls, but on the other end when we try to be aggressive, nothing goes our way. It's kind of deflating at times, especially when you're trying to get it going... 46 free throws is crazy. It's crazy." DeRozan was even asked where Austin Reaves hurt the Kings the most, to which the star forward answered, "the free-throw line. 22 free throws for him." DeRozan said he has never been in a game like that through his 17-year NBA career. Los Angeles' 46 free-throw attempts on Sunday night are the tenth most by a team in the last three seasons, while Reaves' 22 are the sixth most by a player in that same time frame. Of course, the Lakers' huge free-throw advantage was a combination of shaky officiating and the Kings being too physical on defense, as DeRozan even said he doesn't know which one played the bigger factor, although he undoubtedly hinted at the officiating favoring Los Angeles.
Again DDR should STFU. You don’t get FTs by shooting jumpers like he and Lavine. I don’t think AR was fouled once on a jumpshot. And Queens shot 18 more 3pt shots. And those 2 times they fouled under our basket are a perfect example of dumb players. Dumass.
46 is a lot of FTAs, and 22 is a lot for one guy. like i said, i haven't been able to see this one, so i can't know if derozan has a point or not in his claim that they weren't getting the same whistle. my suspicion is that the kings don't attack on offense, and they have nothing at the rim defensively, so they're going to have some disparities like this.
Ellis was going by the book on Reaves one time all up on him and literally grabbing his arms while doing it, so smartly AR just goes up for the shot. But the other fouls AR draws mostly seem legit and nothing like the foul baiting Harden and others have used. He's always attacking and going for legit shots. With his change of pace and direction constantly guys wind up not in good position to contest that aggressiveness.
Reaves played them like a fiddle, he was fouled to smithereens!! But, he played into their horrible defensive techniques to perfection. Every time they reached in, he pulled the shot up through their arms and drew the foul, every time they gave him a little shove on the sidelines, he fell out of bounds right away, you had to call it, any ref would have. They were blitzing him, bumping him and reaching in on him every time he breathed, he did what he had to do to get the call. The point that Reaves made to them was that if they were going to treat him like that, he was going to make them burn. And he did and YES, they deserved it.
