He’s not just “off base,” he is downright idiotic with that take. I’m so sick of the weak minded labeling everything “an addiction” because it removes all accountability. Just shameful.

Now I gotta listen to Nash and DudeBro while I wait for the game? At least they have Dirk and Haslem to balance out the annoying.
    Antman going for 40 tonight.
Okay, I just figured out this team’s identity with LeStoic out. They are exactly like all those garbage teams Kobe had after the Shaq trade and before we stole Gasol. One otherworldly player carrying an entire team on his back night after night.
JJ needs to somehow get some of these other guys going or it’s going to get really ugly.

I'll go a bit further than that. Every other franchise better get a title soon. Wemby might ALREADY be the best player in the league. Castle has perennial All-Star written all over him. Harper could be amazing. The Spurs are going to be insanely competitive for the next decade of they play their cards right.

I have a feeling some of these guys were compromised. If the mafia is up in your business and you have family members at stake, you probably do stupid things.

Much improved after just one game. Better effort and cut the turnovers in half.

Lots of players and coaches like to play poker. Billups is also a well liked guy. I imagine the list of people who showed up at his games is pretty long and filled with top names.

Game 1 had a 9 man rotation, and game 2 had an 8 man rotation. I like what I'm seeing from Rui. Very efficient. Just taking what the defense gives him. Not trying to do too much. Ayton doing a good job with some of the little things, like setting screens. But you could tell there is a clear difference between him and players like Duren, Gafford, Kessler, and Claxton in terms of rim-running. He is more of a traditional post player. Gabe looks somewhat pedestrian out there so far. Luka and Reaves are as advertised. I know it's only been two games though, and we clearly are lacking defense and athleticism in the backcourt.

Dang, this guy is only getting 15 mpg in 2 games. He would be a clear upgrade over Gabe Vincent for the Lakers. Kings look like they could use an upgrade at power forward. They are using players such as Saric and Caldwell. Can't really make salaries match right now though, unless they would want to swap Vando + 2031 1st + 2032 2nd for Ellis + Carter or something like that, or if they want Kleber or Knecht. Either that or a multi-team trade, or wait until December 15. They liked LaRavia a lot. On Dec 15, Jake could be traded for Ellis. They probably like to use Saric, because he could stretch the floor a little bit for Sabonis. I guess Kleba could be similar, but actually with better defense. Still a reach though, but they are the Kangs.

Knecht + literally any draft capital we have to trade for Ellis lol. 2031 1st, whatever 2nds, whatever swaps, I don't care.

I agree. Not sure what they would want though. I wouldn't want to give up Thierro though, because we need his athleticism. When he gets healthy, the kid will be a game changer.

This game was more than just a win for me. It showed JJ is on our issues and the team will get better. I think the team also demonstrated that we can be physical and play defense. Like a Q & A game. We have some tough guys now that aren't going to settle for being picked on pansies. I was wanting Smart back in the draft. Incredibly stoked he is here. Every game he sits makes a healthy playoff LeBron more likely. The planets and stars have begun to align.

    Option 1: Trade Knecht + 2031 1st + 2032 2nd + 2026 swap + 2028 swap + 2030 swap for Ellis

    Option 2: Trade Kleba + 2031 1st + 2032 2nd + 2026 swap + 2028 swap + 2030 swap for Ellis + Carter

    Option 3: Trade Rui + Knecht + 2031 1st (top-4 protected) for Ellis + Monk

I’ll tell you one owner who’s not with Silver on this and will be livid and that’s Jerry Reinsdorf. Silver won’t have Jerry Reinsdorf support.

I’m going to go full circle on this.

some of you guys in here are young. Watch a movie called Goodfellas.

I want you to YouTube Boston College 1977 point shaving point fixing scheme.

This also happened at Arizona State in 1995 I think the player was Tony Smith but don’t hold me to it may be another name.

Here’s a fact the NBA under no circumstances can have the Mafia around any of their players personel trainers coaches. It is a bad look.

the obvious conspiracy theory is fixing games. But s*** if you get down you’ll do anything.

I repeat I watched Portland games last season. I watched a lot of them. I told y’all that in the defense of the Deandre Ayton signing. It was strange. Some games he would play literally get 22 -13 and then not play. And he was pissed and kind of alluded to it in the press conference playing and then not playing. He just chalked it up to them going another direction. I’m not saying s*** was going down but look at. Billups.
And can’t excuse Ayton for not making it to practice because of the snow lol.
Man there would be games where Scoot would be playing and then just not finish the game. Then you got alleged Billups say don’t bet on us we’re tanking.

I think he’s done in the league regardless. He sold out his boy KG allegedly. Man they are going to ostersize his a**. Nobody will f*** with him.

if Silver wants to be the d*** he can hammer this hard have a press conference and outlaw all prop bets from NBA games. Only thing is fantasy and regular game bets period full stop.

So the affiliation with Mob Mafia and NBA personel looks bad. Gives the league a credibility problem. Now it doesn’t do s*** to the bottom line cause we’ll eat it up like popcorn.

but when you have guys like Tim Donaghy say what he said allegedly being in bed with the mob and then guys like Scott foster still being in the league. And you look at Chris Paul and all his comments it makes sense Hugh. Like Chris Paul knew what was going on. And that annymosity towards foster was because he knew he was dirty. This wasn’t a rogue ref.

s*** who knows if the Mob is getting to refs. How is easy is it to go hey eject that guy. Just saying.

But Lakers dodged a bullet. Remember LeBron was on all in mold before we got Russell and we were rumored to trade Westbrook to Charlotte for Rozier???? But we didn’t want that package cause we were scared of Roziers contract.???? Yikes.

I don’t know about trades. I like what I saw last night team likes each other. I alluded to the Magic Johnson think showtime. Magic was a conductor. The brand of basketball was exciting.

Luka going off that Minnesota game it just looked like showtime Luka getting the ball to other guys. The shots the kind of shots. His reaction. His smiling. The team looked exciting. Minnesota is a top team. They had no answers. We ran they a** off the court. Reaves and Luka look so good together. Both guys playing in the pick and roll. And they both were smiling. Everybody was smiling.

when LeBron gets back we’ll have to incorporate him. There will be more isolation. But I like this brand of basketball. The Luka show. That’s why I was saying. You can’t trade that guy. Luka when he came to the Lakers I thought Magic showtime. He’s one of the few players just plays with so much excitement entertainment.

I watched OKC games the way they play is boring as f***. These Lakers games are entertaining. One thing being in Hollywood being in L.A.Dr. Jerry Buss wanted to entertain. Jeanie Buss wants to entertain. The Lakers want to entertain. And the Lakers are entertaining. What’s real cool about it now is the Lakers are winning.

Last night made me want to do more trades even less. I don't like trading draft picks too far out and the players we have now seem like they will be good in their roles. Jake, Smart and DA all seem like hits. Rui is a scoring machine. We actually look like we are developing chemistry. Unless something just too good to pass up comes along I'd rather roll with what we have. Plus we have this old washed up dude just biding his time.

We'll take Monks contract off your a hands as well SacTown. Monk and Ellis and the backcourt with AR and Smart would be humming
