Minimal Viable Product is the real meaning of MVP. All others are just scrambling for 2nds.

feel like you're forgetting the pacers hate us more than any other team. pritchard still wants blood from the paul george thing, and it's why myles turner never got here.

i keep thinking we'll trade with chicago, but chicago just overvalues their guys until they lose all value. every. time. also, the two guys in chicago that interest me (dosunmu and terry) have actually found their way into the rotation.

    who? terrance mann?

it was good, but a large part of why it was good is that we didn't give up flexibility in the move (nor a first). so, sure, if we can throw a 2nd or two with kleber to get an expiring who helps us on the court, i'm totally down. but adding salary or giving up a 1st is going to take a lot in return for me to happy about it. i want a long-term starter in that case.

you know i love ellis, so i'd give up the house there. i'd give up knect and a lotto-protected first that turns into two seconds for carter.

though carter was dnp-cd in game 1 for them, and i believe he's a duffy client...

can't believe they only played ellis 13 minutes and started their rookie over him (and monk).

Fair point, that would take the same wizardry as the Kings and Blazers...I bet (just like Billups)

They have to look in the mirror at some point. Right? Some accountability for the accumulation of lost/dwindled asset after asset.

    Mann and Sharpe.

Those two just wasting away for the sake of Russ might be one of the most reckless front office decisions this year. I don't get it. I want both and I'd be willing to overpay.

Best offensive player in the game and it's not close.

Also most points he's scored as a Laker.

    This is fun.

Not sure what was more motivating: How the playoffs ended or Gobert. Either way, you were not stopping him in that first Q. That set the tempo from there. Didn't matter how they guarded him, he's getting what he wanted tonight.

He came in with a chip on his shoulder this year. It's going to be a great year. It was good to see them trying to get Ayton more involved. Smart looks great out there. But, my boy Luka is ready to show what it's about.

What a game to say the least. Was really nice seeing a Laker player just completely dominate like that again

Luka looks like a completely different player this season... dropped about 20 pounds and it shows in every aspect of his game. He’s quicker, lighter on his feet, and absolutely unstoppable from mid-range right now. If you let him get anywhere from 15–18 feet out, it’s basically automatic. He’s hitting those shots with what feels like 90% accuracy, and the overall efficiency is off the charts.

He said he lost 31 pounds… wild to think.

The interesting part is, you can tell the team hasn’t gelled yet compared to the roster at Dallas during the finals run that really played well off one another.

I enjoyed watching some of those horn sets with Ayton screening for Luka and Reaves. There was one play where Luka got a soft trap and passed it off to Reaves who immediately bounce passed it to a rolling Ayton for a thunderous almost dunk. I’d love to see that action with Lebron as the screener and shooters in the corners. You either trap Luka or he gets downhill with a defender on his back, but if you do trap Luka he is so good passing out of double teams that you either have a rolling Lebron with no defender on him or Reaves in space. Either of those guys can attack, shoot or pass to an open shooter.

@svtzr did you hoop too with your height at all along with all the intense effort put into tennis? How did you become such a Lakers fan from afar and not your chosen sport?
