well, in his first game in miami, he went for 28 points on 19 shots and was a +12 in a 4-point loss to a healthy orlando team, so maybe...juuuuussst maybe...he's good and tyronn lue's greatness is a sham.

to be fair, though, he plays for an actually great coach now.

Some of my family/friends back in Kansas City actually know him and his family (they went to high school with him).

From all I've ever heard Lue is a good guy. Also a good Laker IMO.

I'm biased though so I bowed out of whatever it is people have against him on here.

As far as I know, isn't it just that he is a Clipper? C Bags and Clippers don't typically fare too well here. Likely nothing personal.

It is when the 6’2 guy is replacing our 6’9, 260 pound guy in the starting lineup.

    Good job coach!

Had them ready against the team that sent them home.

    Great 3rd Q game plan.

JJ couldn't help himself playing a no bigs lineup out there. If Jackson can't go, either Rui or DeAndre need to be on the floor at all times.

I wonder if us getting smoked on the boards in the first half will change his mind about starting Gabe against a big team?

Credit to him, he has the team playing with fire.
Everyone believes the system and each player is trying to play the best they can.

That doesn't happen always and it's the foundation to great things. As we get more chemistry and find the right pieces, we'll be a force for many years

Thanks coach for playing Smart with AR when Luka was out!. Lakers actually went on a run without Luka and kind of put the game away to finish the 3rd with that comvo

We will always have ups and downs but JJ has put my mind at ease with his coaching. I liked the hire but was slightly concerned. The truth is that there is a big difference in how a coach can coach when LeBron isn't on the floor. Hoping that doesn't change too much upon his return.

JJ had a nice play design to end the game: used Vando as a connector to get Laravia open. I don't think anyone on the Kings or in the game chat expected that

I think and hope this is the full postgame with JJ after Lakes beating T-Wolves, that I saw following the game on SSN. Interview of the year. So great to have a coach who can communicate and will respond interestingly and thoughtfully. This will pump you up the things he says in here. Kind of inspirational to a Lakers fan. Listen carefully what he says about Austin having "arrived" to his peers in the league .... last year! Of course it gets better with what he's doing this year. LaRavia, Knecht and other comments.

Crap it's not the full interview. I hope it shows up. Redick also said to clarify what he meant by Austin had arrived, last year .... was that these other players now all viewed him as a Bad Man. He said it wasn't the word he "wanted" to use. :D A Bad Em-effer would be the assumption I think.

Moar edit ..... oh oh :D .... when asked about LaRavia's game (completely paraphrasing and not sure on the order the obvious talk about his offensive game came up) JJ of course was happy with that but he made an even bigger and more excited point talking about Jake's defense these last 2 games and all the deflections he's been getting. Said he'd have to check the (analytics) and see exactly but he thought Jake had like 6 or 7 tonight.

He has the team playing loose, the squad doesn't look intimidated without Luka and Lebron. Good work

This is important as we need guys like this this to step in and have a big impact

Jake with the strong D is something we've all been wanting and he starting to gain his confidence with his team mates

almost lost last night, but the brand of ball we are playing is quite watchable. Different than just Lebron ball. This will bring fans back, and hopefully when Lebron comes back, he decides he doesn't have to be the ball stopper and focal point of years past. he's not HIM any longer. He has two teammates who can share that load, and possibly better than him at this stage.

JJ has been great. Just freaking great. Kudos, coach. G-league roster and you pulled out 2 wins.
