Great point about the spacing. We often get concerned about providing floor spacing for our three offense creation type players (Luka, Lebron, and Reaves), but they are good to great 3-pt shooter in their own right, and could benefit from having a good offensive center. Luka is an excellent high volume 3-pt shooter. Reaves has turned into a good three-point shooter, although he has been a bit inconsistent. Lebron has turned into a good three-point shooter, and reports say he is working even more on his catch-and-shoot game.

The Kings are becoming the Bulls of the West - a no direction, perpetual let's hope to go into the play-in squad

Ellis and his agent have to be thinking wtf is this team trying to do to my value in a contract year - go get em Rob

Bynum was 2nd team All-NBA in 2012 and Dwight was 3rd Team All-NBA in 2013. If Ayton gives us anything close to that, we're title contenders.

I will argue Pau Gasol was more in the Tim Duncan face up power forward role. He played with Centers Andrew Bynum and Dwight Howard here. When he played Center he played it with Lamar Odom. Even though he is linked as the next big after Shaq in the likes of trades acquisitions. Hes more of a power forward.

    Yeah I will say

Pau Gasol and Anthony Davis were more power forwards.

    it’s still going to go

Mikan Wilt Kareem Shaq Gasol Davis if we’re talking pure dominance and championships.

but literal centers it’s gotta be Shaq Bynum Howard Ayton

This convo is jsut arguing semantics.

Since Shaq, the best bigs have been Pau, Bynum and AD. I don’t include Dwight because he was a shell of himself when we traded for him and when he came back he was a role player.

Ayton can have the impact of Bynum (mainly due to the lack of health on Bynum’s part). That’s great value for 8m

Welp is correct if you're a Kings fan
I like him as a player who plays D and can give you some offense but damn nearly 30 million for a dude who averaged 12.4 ppg and had a PER of 12. That is not what you want from one player taking up more then 1/5 of the regular salary cap.
