I said it was a big IF as there was that photo with him and Rich Paul and Jokic's manager ... on one and forgot about the gym picture that came after. Which is now also 4-5 days old and he could be somewhere else now. See Pioneer's post above as well.

Okay, but all of a sudden, he doesn’t have access to a private plane?
He’s one of the richest people on the planet.

Well hell he could have given Luka a Lambo too just to show he's not being jealous of him. I think you're over the top about LeBron not being THERE. Allegedly he face timed him per someone here. These other guys got a free fun time in Las Vegas on Mark Walters. If LeBron's going to do any virtue signaling it's going to be about LeBron. And as I alluded to above:

^^^ and LeBron being there would definitely have had a lot of the press mucking up Luka's big day with questions to LeBron about HIS future and such.

Probably did FaceTime him but no one would know it though they just kept it private. For all we know they could’ve had a big party at Lebrons house.

You need to stop with the "book it". You've been wrong so many times it's getting awkward :p

Sorry fellas but those guys can go to Vegas. LeBron ain’t doing that. He’s married with 3 kids one of them happens to be on the team.

let Bronny do that. Lebron ain’t trying to go see the Backstreet Boys. Lebron just saw Kendrick Lamar at Sofi. That’s more his style.

How have I been wrong with the book it?? You sure??? Ayton Luka contract extension.??? You sure about that????

that’s awkward. Why wouldn’t he be a captain???? Just signed the lucrative extension. This is his team. He would be a co captain.

And I was right about the LeBron opt in.

I’m sure. Anything you have “reported “, has been widely already known. All old news. Your posts are mildly amusing though.

Nah check the dates they weren’t widely reported and that’s just flat out wrong. I was the first in here to bring up Ayton wayyyyyy before any buyout. I bought him up to make a trade for him and said he was coming here so that was from jump. One of my first posts in here when everybody was on Nic Claxton.

Just because someone sounds a little crazy, doesn't mean they are crazy. If that was true, there are a number of people around here who could fit that stereotype. Most of them are pretty cool. It's just a sports forum. Most sports fans are at least a quarter of the way off the rails.

My take as well. LeBron should have been there. They could played the entire thing up as the uniting of superstars or something fun. This is LA after all. Just reinforces what most think of LeBron already. Like Slick said though, we win the championship and nobody cares and we have a great shot at doing just that.

I have never really loved Lebron like I loved Kobe or Magic or Kareem or West ...... but I am grateful that he chose to come play in LA and was able to get AD here as well. It was a good run. They got us one ring, without which, we would NOW be 2 behind the C Bags and looking at more. Remember, without AD, we don't end out with Luka and we would still likely be in a rebuilding stage.

I couldn't care less about all this woulda, coulda, shoulda BS. What matters is what is said behind closed doors and we don't know any of that. We have no idea what is really going on with player recruitment, etc. For all we know, Giannis has already guaranteed us he is coming and has agreed to an approximate contract. If that is the case and Rob is setting that up, and possibly at the expense of a 41/42 year old Lebron, then so be it. Teams simply cannot build around a player that old. If he is just an additional piece, then sure but at 52 million per year, that is not an additional piece for us or anybody. If Lebron wants to chase a ring with us or anyone else, he is going to need to take a pay cut. Period, anyone who pays him that is just howling at the moon.
