I don't really want to trade Bron for Jimmy. It might be hard to extract value from Golden State. But what if it's our only option?

    Would Bron + Vando for Jimmy + 2028 1st (unprotected) + 2030 1st (unprotected) + 2032 2nd be sufficient?

Pros: Jimmy is still a very good defender and could fill the POA defender role, which helps out Luka and AR a lot. We get tradable picks. We open up financial flexibility by trading Vando.

Cons: Jimmy is not a great three-point shooter. Not horrible either though. The contract and his age.

I dont know how comfortable Reddick would be playing Butler big minutes along side non-shooting bigs. kind of clunky.

    Latest on Beal

The financials involved and CP joining him as a Clipper is the most likely outcome

There's no real market for Kuminga, so he'll likely return to GS and be moved by the deadline
    GS: Horford and Melton
    More specifics on Melton's situation

I'd consider dumping Clingan and Williams to make sure this kids gets a run way to minutes lol. I think I'm joking but this maybe like Denver saying by to a young promising Nurkic once Jokic showed up

Rob won’t take back Jimmy because we would have to pay him over $50 mill for TWO seasons. It would be tempting though if we could get multiple firsts as well. I would also demand Podz be in the deal.

If this is the holdup, I would just make Melton the 6th man and guarantee him minutes. His defense, 3's, and production when on court are not the question, his health and injury risk status are. When healthy, he is a full MLE player. To get him for the minimum or only a portion of the BAE would be a steal which is only possible due to injury risk, but is a risk worth taking imo.

To be honest, if healthy, I would even be happy to start him, as Melton, Austin, Luka, LeBron, Ayton is more balanced than Austin, Luka, LeBron, Rui, Ayton. But it's contract years for both Rui and Austin, so they probably need to start if we want to keep them. Which is fine, but I would want to sub in Melton or a POA defender quickly, and then stagger minutes from there.

I just don’t like that trade. I don’t like any trade trading Lebron James for Jimmy Butler. Just doesn’t make any sense. Jimmy Butler will never be LeBron James now you don’t have the ball handler don’t have court vision.

    he’s not a great shooter.

great player. Miami got his best years. LeBrons a great teammate. I don’t think Butlers a great teammate.

and what happened in Miami was about money. But Jimmy is not the right player to trade for LeBron. I think LeBron does a lot and when you have it it’s like whatever. But when you don’t have it you see.

We’d have to get alot more for him. I put Jimmy Butler in Paul George tier.

Summer league NBA is a joke. The reason the NBA has problems is because they don’t get the moment. The NBA should be having their biggest stars play.

VJ Philly star is sitting out. Didn’t play against Harper missed a golden opportunity to show off. I know it’s summer league and it doesn’t mean anything but still you still are an entertainment league signed a new T.V. Deal. Load management in summer league. Giving the players the mindset it’s just cool to sit out.

and I know we just had the Hali injury. But dam these are glorified pickup games. They aren’t playing back to back.

that’s why it was so good having Bronny play cooper Flagg. Was so good for the T.V. and Theater.

I can’t believe Beal is holding everyone up. What an overpaid loser. You’re not Kawhii or KD. Pick a lane a move along.

So he thinks the billionaire owner of the Suns is not going to pay him or his checks going to bounce…..loser 2.0. Beal should be the one who’s embarrassed. The only difference between him and a bank robber is he doesn’t wear a mask.

I see it the same way as you. I think Melton is highly underrated due to injury. If he is healthy he is a good POA defender and can hit the 3, instant upgrade to Gabe and Goodwin and likely takes their spots in the playoff rotation.

I still feel like we need a wing on top of that. I’m just not trusting Vando or Knecht to be in the playoff rotation.

Still wondering why no one is going after Grimes. He’d be a real nice fit for us.
