I'm all for whatever helps us win. Other than the ego issue, to preserve LeBron maybe he could be that sixth man. He could get his 25 minutes a night in the regular season against lesser opponents. Always have either Luka or LeBron on the court except for blowouts. LeBron could proclaim he is a real team guy after all. Sixth man of the year.

Yeah..but He's still the one, that was named All NBA last season. If these kids stepped up and played their roles, that's going to preserve him too. I can see him playing less minutes, that means that we were successful. Lebron has been in the game for 22 seasons , I think he can play in any scheme, but this 5 out stuff isn't ideal at this point..IMO.

I'm expecting Luka to be bananas this season, but I'm not ready, to somehow elevate Austin and Rui, to being close to the player Lebron still is. Those guys ate off of Lebron and AD. They ate off of Lebron and Luka after the trade.

However I do like Austin, Rui, and Ayton as the new young core. It's step up time, deep playoff run time. I look forward to seeing what happens.

Disagree. Second rounders are a regular currency in NBA deals. We currently have one tradable second rounder. That’s not good.

Another reason why they might let Grimes go, the Maxey, McCain & Edgecomb combination is a great PG/SG roster for them.

Lebron James will never come off the bench.!!!! He’d play in Siberia before he did that.

One big beautiful "deal" for Houston and maybe Lakers as well if it allowed what we did moving up TWICE to be able to draft Adou Thiero ...... and we've gotten ourselves a beast of a defender as well as the most athletic player in the draft with his great size and vertical game..... and has multiple ways to score the ball, before he even gets to good enough (hopefully) from deep.

In the 2024/25 season, Booker averaged 25.6 points (46.1% from the field, 33.2% from beyond the arc), 4.1 rebounds, and 7.1 assists.

They have been out of control for the past 10 seasons. When a role player can earn over $100 million in his career, it’s nuts.
However, the owners, at least of the well run clubs make obscene amounts too.

Ours in comparison, even Luka’s, AR’s and Ayton’s will be comparative bargains their next contracts.

eh, they all make way more than the players because franchises always appreciate in value. i'm wondering if there might be a bit of a bubble burst due to those tv contracts and how they're changing, but pro sports have largely been a pretty safe bet here.

Feels like at some point it needs to stop. Premier League teams appear to be money losers: the smart American owners are having trouble making the numbers work even with soccer having a global reach that is unlike any other sport.

The gulf owned teams all lose money

until they're sold for a price that more than covers the losses, i assume? at least that's what happens here.

sports franchises aren't purchased to be year-to-year income (unless you're the busses). they're vanity projects that double as long-term investments.

Cuban selling was the point I thought that NBA team ownership was no longer profitable but pure high stakes d*** swinging contest. That's a dude who knows when to sell (dumping broadcast.com onto yahoo at the height of the internet buuble). Throw in the Bucks owners who are also very shrewd financiers selling.

It does seem to be about true f*** you money vanity plays for the richest of the elite
