Steward had a nice first half offensively. DK Best player on the court for us was Bazley and it wasn't all that close. Loved his activity defensively. Knows how to use space, recover, close out, and covered the perimeter really well on switches. Trying to figure out his position. That length allows him to do a lot. 4 offensively and a 3/4 defensively who can switch 1 through 4? The guard play pissed me off, cause they missed him as the trail man and on the weakside for some easy lobs. If he can keep that up through summer league, i roster him in some capacity. Shame he plays the position we have the most players trying to play.
DK has a pretty bad offensive game off the dribble. His defensive awareness didn’t look any better either
I remember bazely being a solid player a year or 2 ago… I’m surprised he’s not already on an nba roster.
Man that was painful. At least Steward showed up. Dalton looked like he wasn’t into it- like he wanted to be somewhere else else.
He will be for sure if he keeps playing like that. Seems the bright lights and trade and realization now that he could fail on some level he’d never imagined has taken his mojo and confidence. Redick needs to help him find it again. We all saw it. JJ said that was going to be one of his main approaches to coaching …. developing young players. And he more than anyone ought to know how to get his confidence back like the shooter he is.
Lol.. it's one game. One summer league game at that. It's Utah, not Vegas..Dalton was uninspired, let's say that.
my dalton thoughts are in his thread. i'll reiterate that not having a pg is bad for summer league, though. bummed to hear marciulionis has a jones fracture. but even bronny's minimal pg skills would have helped. all the guards i saw for us were clearly small sgs. i thought jemison actually looked pretty good--his skillset isn't going to shine here. still pretty fouly. bazley looked like a man playing with boys, which makes sense. i always thought he'd eventually catch on, but he was in china last year, so...
Today's game against the Heat https://www.espn.com/nba-summer-league/boxscore/_/gameId/401778339/league/nba-summer-california
Man thanks for this …. would have missed the whole game. Forgot it was on and I had ESPN2 set to record the whole CA Classic both games. But this is on NBA.
S***!! …. and missed Bronny in the first half except that out of bounds decision play we won because of his long right arm at the end of the half. How did he look on D and with his handle? Are his hands up now? Is he getting better laterally?
