    I checked Ayton stats
When he's on he's on Giannis, Jokic level
He often scored 30 points especially in his Phoenix Chris Paul combo.
Didn't know that he's borderline All Star level

i suppose a skeptic would say it's QUITE OBVIOUS everyone has been negotiating already. but still, the nets clearly had this under control. he was an RFA, but they declined his option, then re-signed him prior to FA. if they knew we or someone else was lurking at this price, they could have just held his RFA rights.

Sharpe is not even center , He's a little bigger than Draymond and same as LeBron 6.9 and 250.
I hate GSW for small ball

I try to keep yall ready for this stuff.

yall know on here I said be prepared for the Rob statement we want to keep Roster Flexibility money flexibility for 2026!!!!

I said that repeatedly. Jaren Jackson Jr. until he signs that deal the Lakers aren’t doing anything.

I was very vocal about Jokic. This wasn’t pie in the sky. Jokic has a very close relationship with Luka. And the Jokic comments were very telling to me. “Obviously we need new team. It’s not working here. “ he’s not happy but pretty mild mannered. Denver fired a coach and GM. They don’t scream stability. And Jokic was pissed after that series. Aaron Gordon got old fast. Murray got paid.

And when Wade and LeBron teamed up that was relationship. People don’t keep tabs on the international guys cause they just don’t talk that much. But there’s a big thing out there that Luka wants to play with Jokic and vice versa. Maybe why we were so quick to get him.

Dallas got Anthony Davis. But we got a superstar. And there are a lot of guys that want to play with said superstar.

the Joker screams that. We have desirable attractions. Santa Anita Race Track. Del Mar race track.

The Lakers have a plan. That’s more the Mark Walter’s stuff. But I was surprised with this Brook Lopez stuff. I thought mark walters was gonna stop that stuff.

now I think you bring Ayton here. 2 yr deal player option after year one. 44 million. Doesn’t tie up your long term money.

Reaves Free agency next year and Lebrons retirement.

So having Ayton with Lebron and Lukas timeline is huge. Glad Ayton wants to be here. It made sense to me. And having the top 2 picks of the 2018 NBA draft is a big deal. If you woulda told me the Lakers were doing that in 2018 I would’ve laughed at you.

Ayton is still good. He played on a really bad team last season. We are going to have the last laugh.

don’t overvalue Lopez. He shouldn’t get the whole tpmle. I would give it to Ayton. But Lopez will probably be signed he is a Center.

Can’t wait to see Ayton here though it’s gonna really be great for this team. I think when you have two guys with court vision like Luka and Lebron it just makes it that much Easier for guys like Ayton to finish at the rim.

NBA is shook cause the Lakers are about to do some real janky ish and teams are gonna telling Silver how you allow this?????

This all makes sense for Dorian Finney Smith. He wanted the years and security. Probably a 3 yr. 4 yr. Deal. And the Lakers can’t tie cap and money into him. It’s all cap space.!!!!!!!

So I also was right about Luka extending in August. I was very vocal about that. Luka wanted that bag and Dallas FD him. He really liked how the Lakers were so welcomed and He was ready to sign the max extension.

laker haters with a narrative put that out that he wasn’t happy.

yall notice how Rich Paul didn’t address Mark Walter’s in that statement???? The Jeanie Rob LeBron partnership. Dude you’re an agent. Why are you acting like you’re a vice president here.

but it was clearly well you got the new guy Luka here. Mark Walters is gonna be Luka and the other superstar. Rich knows no more strong arming with him.

and I think that Luka trade was the first trade for the Lakers and what’s best for their team no trading all young guys for old guys. Lakers got the next superstar.

so this beginning of free agency is telling a lot where are team is at.

If LeBron relaxes and team relaxes we can get another championship out of him one last season.

the key to me is keeping the roster depth. Yall don’t know how big that buyout was. Not having to give up Reaves everything for Allen

not having to give up everything for Kessler.

It was a huge ploy in our negotiating. We don’t have to go crazy with Lopez. We don’t have to trade our whole team for Claxton.

We keep our depth and just sign Ayton.

Giving you a little of my basketball experience knowledge. The key to the championship is roster depth. We essentially are Indiana signing Ayton.

Keep in mind this was the guy Indiana wanted to trade Myles Turner for in a sign and trade.

Now instead of Aaron Naesmith you have Lebron. Who’s beating that team.

    Luka/James/Vincent

    Reaves/Knect/Goodwin

    James/Hachiumura/Simmons/Vando

    Vando/Hachiumura/Simmons

    Ayton/Lopez/Reed

    that’s a stacked squad.

I remember this like yesterday. Teams were literally tanking for Luka and Ayton in 2018. And Phoenix definitely tanked for Ayton and now we having him in purple and Gold and Luka. Awesome. Only in the NBA.

Ayton can be Bynum to me. Like if he’s that we win. Where Bynum didn’t have to create his offense with so much firepower with Kobe Gasol and Odom.

just board control the paint and catch lobs. And it got us two championships.

Ayton is way more skilled advanced skilled wise than Bynum. You’ll see with his ability shoot the three. He can stretch. I remember scouting him at Arizona university. The guy could shoot the three. And I just remembered him making his free throws. When guys can make free throws that’s huge. Well when big guys can make them.

people comped him to David Robinson when he was coming outa school. He has game. Probably biggest highlight of his career. How he played against Anthony Davis in 2021.

when he wants to compete. He’ll compete. Having LeBron and Luka in his ear will help.

Kobe completely changed Lamar Odoms career. I think you can see that here with Ayton.

    get excited Laker fans.

Kudos to the Lakers for not throwing stupid money at guys allowing other teams to do that. And waiting to make smart signings.

honestly, i'm not sure i've seen a really bad signing yet. rockets got jabari smith to extend at a very reasonable amount--i was surprised by that.

but i can't think of a deal that would call bad that's been reported yet.

After Luol Deng the Lakers didn’t want to make an over the top signing and throw money at a fringe guy and tie up their cap.

After the Vando signing the Lakers just didn’t want to throw money at a guy.

that’s why I think Finney Smith wasn’t signed and bought back. They wanted him to opt in. When he opted out. Well thank you and go get your money.

I saw the writing on the wall. That’s why I was screaming for Ben Simmons the cheaper alternative. Go sign him and just tell him play lock down defense. Lock up perimeter guys with your length. It will help us having him handle the ball as well.

Well just some of the moves in general. I thought Phoenix were head scratching. Houston what they’re gonna give Finney Smith.

I like Steven Adams but that’s a lot of money. Portland Holiday I thought Simmons had a good season. You gotta have guys that can score in the NBA. I’m not sure Scoot can do that on a regular basis.

I'm curious about them as well. They're picky in terms of who they think works in their system, all of their guys need to be able to read and react. But I agree they're going to do something, they probably think they were the 2nd best team in the West by the end of the season.

Ok, Kobeluka99 you have me warming up to Ayton. I do see what you mean in terms of sheer talent and size he's obviously the best center available and doesn't take up any of our assets to get.

Looking at a starting lineup of Reaves, Luka, Rui, Lebron and Ayton is a lot of fire power. At least on paper that looks like about 105 points a game just for the starters which is significant. That leaves a bench with Gabe, Goodwin, Knecht, Vando and Kleiber which is actually not so bad. Vando gives us a more defensive look for either Rui or Lebron, Kleiber a little outside shooting from the backup center. Goodwin and Gabe give defensive effort and a modicum of offense. Knecht needs to work on D and get more consistent on shooting but he can be the work in progress kid along with Adou.

Is it a contender? Probably not but should be capable of competing. Maybe later we move Gabe, Kleiber or Rui for an upgrade but we could start the year with them and at least you have continuity.

They can't sign anybody until they are decided what to do with Kuminga who wants to receive around 30 millions

yeah, just wondering if they'll S&T him to bkn for some prospects and enough relief to offer the full mle to ayton or something.

or something better than that that also bothers me.
