That's not because of James. Pinocchio has been pretty mediocre, 3 seasons in a row.

Can't take anything for granted, there will most likely be, two different teams in the Finals next summer. I hope we are one of them. I'm calling Orlando taking the East next season.

reminded me of the 02 lakers

they probably knew they were going to win once they went up double digits and with no haliburton

    Overall the finals were great.

tonight’s game sucked!!!!!!!! With everybody watching. Just a snooze fest. Like the Super Bowl. I turned it off and put 90 day fiancé on. And MLB network on.

Haliburton was playing his butt off looking for a historic game and looking like a historic game. Then he got hurt. Indiana looked like so what let’s go win this with Nembard.

OKC looked like they wanted to choke early. Indiana you gotta seize that opportunity.

this series was lost by Indiana and we all knew it in game 4 when they just laid down and blew a 10 point lead. Never looked back. Pacers win that game and there isn’t a game 7 and Pacers in 6 like I said they would.

also feels like Pacers gave a game back after getting game 1 giving up game 2. You can’t do that. Because you never know the rest of the series. And we saw what happened to Haliburton.

Pacers had a tough hill to climb without Haliburton pace of play completely changed. Slowed down for OKC allowed the bigs like Holmgren to come in and alter the game with their length.

Pacers playing without Haliburton is like us playing without Kobe in one of our finals. You just can’t do it.

seems like the second half the Pacers were like oh s*** Haliburtons out and just laid down and OKC pounced. Dort made that three in the third with the clock going down and then that seemed like it was it for the Pacers.

congrats OKC this team did not seem impressive to me. And just genuinely boring.

Achilles injury. Injuries. Lillard Tatum and Haliburton.

I do think the C Bags with Tatum beats this OKC team.

The reason there are so many Achilles injuries is simple. Pace of Play. It’s too fast too much tempo.

These guys play like this for 82 games. The pace of play is a joke. Tempo. Back to Backs.

we never had Achilles injuries like this in our the 90’s maybe Dominique Wilkins but guys played at a slower controlled pace.

Now the legs are just going back and forth and it’s constant.

I would advise the NBA to slow it down. We don’t need hand checks out the league. There are too many threes leading to transition.

Keep your guys fresh. The league needs their Stars too many stars got hurt. This isn’t the league of the shield. This is the league of the player.

No more back to backs just get them out the league. I see LAkers Clippers same city. But we don’t need Lakers then next night Sacramento or Phoenix.

you can’t sale the face of players and not have the biggest players playing in the biggest games.

No Haliburton in game 7 for the Pacers against OKC and Shai.

    Totally agree

No more back to back games

Seems like they really effect teams and health late in the season

gotta say that all SGA slobbing is really rough. i just don't love his game, and acting like he's kobe is going to grate on me.

For sure. He didn't even have a good game. 2-12 from 3 for 16.7%. 8-27 overall for 29.6%. He just shot a lot, and Indy was missing their playmaker who doesn't turn it over. Indy shot better than OKC for the entire game overall, from the 3, and from the line. They lost TO's 21-7, and that was the game, due to OKC getting 14 more possessions. Indy wins that if Hali were healthy.

    Strange stance by Riley.

That's still a lot he'd be walking away with BUT I just don't see why he'd take a 25% haircut.

still think this isn't true. i'm guessing phx just chose houston's offer, and the "no way we move ware" thing is just morale/face saving stuff.

feel like we've seen similar in the past.

though i guess it's possible riley got so used to having things handed to him that he believes it will continue in perpetuity. you'd have thought the lillard debacle would have cured him of this, though.

yeah, i'm confused as to why he would do this. there's also a strong argument to be made that beal isn't an mle-level player right now.

who's got the mle to offer this summer? i know there are resources for this, but it really requires hours to look at each team's situation, as plenty of teams have space but...not really--you have to factor in holds and likely extensions, etc.

my point is that it seems like only a handful of teams will use the full mle any given offseason. which one is giving it to beal? and without that, why give up anything at all?

he was joking. he even tweeted after saying he was drunk and that it was a joke

he complimented the 2020 lakers quite a bit in his presser, citing how experienced that team was compared to this thunder team and how that made this title more difficult to win with him in a vet role compared to 20 when he was young and playing alongside seasoned vets like lebron, dwight, and rondo

Can’t stand OKC, feels gross that they won, NBA feels a little worse off today. Anyway, Kevin Durant is the worst

OKC were the deserved winners. Best team all season. Great project and team construction with a focus on defense. The AC and Hartenstein moves were perfectly timed.

We gotta work to be better than them. It's inconceivable that Luka doesn't have at least a ring, it's our job now to make that happen

Stars win championships. Supporting players are interchangeable. Isn’t that what you’ve said for years. Stop blaming Dlo.

Yeah, it was just media trolls and Laker haters amplifying a sarcastic joke as real. It was obvious even before Caruso himself clarified, if you watched the video, esp in context of it coming right after him making fun of OKC's players not even being able to pop bottles.

The same media trolls and Laker haters turned his "harder" comment into meaning this was a tougher chip to win that the bubble chip, whereas Caruso himself was actually saying it was harder to win with this team bc they're not as good as the 2020 Lakers. Well, he doesn't exactly say "not as good" but he talks about their lack of experience, them being 21-27 year old kids who had to learn how to win, as opposed to the "greats" the Lakers had, and how he personally had to do more on this team, and teach them. He was basically the vet on this team, as opposed to him being a young pup on the Lakers, learning from LeBron, AD, Rondo, Green, Howard, etc. Basically, he's saying this OKC team sucked compared to the Lakers. :p
