I still don't mind the wins. It's always fun for us as fans to watch wins instead of losses and those kids (I'm thinking especially Ingram) really was leading us to wins which is something none of our young kids have done on a consistent basis. Heck I'm not sure any of the other kids has been so directly responsible for wins since Clarkson's rookie year.
Can't wait for tonight just so there is no more what ifs in regards to the pick, finally will get an answer. Going into it though, I am not expecting us to keep it.
yeah, let's not freak out too much about those wins. the chances of keeping the pick were about 50/50 regardless. once bkn was fully in the tank, the lakers might as well try to win games and build on that. only the league's worst record gives you better than 50% odds at a top 3 pick. a win against the suns isn't really what caused the loss of the pick, if it shakes out that way. top 3 instead of top 5 protection is what did it this time.
We got this!! Am a Big Baller now with my shoes on order. Going to "speak it into existence". :JuliusPumped 1:
I'm not sure I can watch. Too stressful. But like Elgin said earlier in the thread, my fear is the non-stop barrage on local sports radio (that I admittedly listen to less and less) of doomsday scenarios, and the national media relishing in our pain.
oh, the media's going to feast. but to be honest, they're picking at dry bones at this point. the people responsible for the trades are gone, and the lotto system is chance, not design. i guess they can throw dirt on mitch and jim's respective graves, but otherwise, it shouldn't be a delicious tale. and really, any journalist worth his or her salt would be tying this all back to the paul trade veto. the real story is how one obviously poor and misguided decision doomed the league's flagship franchise for a decade or more.
As if I needed yet another reminder that I care far too much about this silly basketball team, my stomach is tied up in knots today. The lottery was the 2nd thing that popped into my head this morning (the 1st being my wife's bodacious DD's because they were what I saw when I opened my eyes & also *giggity*). Have a gut feeling we keep the pick, but also making myself expect we lose it. I'm a mess.
Markelle Fultz said it was an honor to meet Magic and he'd love to work with him every day. But also said he plans on being better than him one day.
We'll keep the pick and draft Lonzo Ball. I was really nervous last year, but it almost feels like it's meant to happen this year.
DE on Bam Adebayo. I know he was intriguing to some of you guys with that late 1st. http://www.draftexpress.com/article/bam-adebayo-nba-draft-scouting-report-and-video-analysis-5934/
